Learning how to speak better is long journey of experimentation for me, and so are you I suppose. If you're well-motivated or even high then you'll find some tips I share here beneficial. You might have known for some but the strategy I wrote here is as to my experience. Here we go!

MU#1 - Chunks of Language
As I wrote in the previous post, listening is essential. To listen is to speak or vice versa.
It's the reason why native speakers are able to speak fast and fluently. They almost never speak in word-by-word way like what we all commonly do. They usually use a set of vocabularies at once. This set of vocabularies is called Chunk of Language. The native speakers speak dozen chunks in a single speech. No wonder if they could make it so fast. They share the same chunks in daily interaction.

Why we should use chunks?
- it's simply because longer-memorised chunk will give us space and time to gather the next words or chunks to be spoken while we're saying it. Imagine! if we need a second to say 'get', we will need more seconds to speak 'I don't really get what you meant'. The longer the chunk the more time we can buy to think the next words. Simple.

Where can we get the chunks?
- There are many ways to obtain these chunks. However, as our objective is to improve speaking, the best way to get is through listening. Browse and find out dozen recordings, broadcast, radio up to video on Youtube! Sticking to the native speaker is the best for this case. Therefore, visiting the English speaking countries like UK or US or other will be the best choice.

How do we use the chunks?
1 - After you collect the recordings and for repeatedly listen to them, now you can try to select up to 3 chunks to be used in a day.
2 - Impersonate them! Try to say (pronounce) the chunk as similar as possible to the native speaker who speaks it.
3 - Set a target! Do not move to other chunks before you could certainly use it without any hesitation and as close as the native speaker who spoke that.
4 - Go Get Them Real! You may not have a native English speaker around you. Don't worry! You can talk to your mates and use them. Or if you have none wants to speak in English, you can make it your own. Record it and compare it to the recording of the native one.
5 - Be Wise! If it doesn't work quick, don't get mad! Learning to speak fluently is a long journey. There must be a shortcut but doesn't mean it's instant. You get me right? So, keep moving!

There's no a single dream comes true if you're not waking up. So keep practice and enjoy the journey of learning English.
